The Tabernacle launched on May 13, 1971 in Indian Mound, Tennessee. Fourteen believers in an old country church led the way for the international ministry that is now The Tabernacle. After a pastorate from several great men and women of God – The Lord led Pastors Anthony & Julia Daley to lead the group of believers, who were then called Victory Tabernacle. Changing the name to The Tabernacle Church – and moving from the hills of Indian Mound to the main highway in Stewart County, TN – God began to expand the reach of The Tabernacle Church.
Today – The Tabernacle Church is an international ministry with a heart for planting more campuses. After a period of tremendous growth in Indian Mound, Pastor Anthony & Julia Daley released a Hispanic church plant in Clarksville, TN – led by Pastors Edwin & Milagros Guzman. El Tabernaculo is now the fastest growing Hispanic church in the region. The Tabernacle Church also expanded to include a Clarksville location on March 7, 2010 – and God is continuing to bless the people of God at both the Stewart County Campus and the Clarksville Campus.
In 2013 – we planted a campus (The TAB ZIM) in Zimbabwe, Africa – led by Pastors John & Forsure Namatira. That campus has continued to multiply itself and we’re now in the process of building a church on the ground in Africa. Our Going Global World Missions projects have led the way for self-sustaining projects for the orphans of Zimbabwe and the surrounding areas. Today, an irrigation system, multiple chicken runs, a tractor, transportation bus are all in use in Zimbabwe, Africa because of the tremendous giving and efforts of men and women who call The Tabernacle home. In 2015, Going Global opened a 24/7 Medical & Dental Clinic in Zimbabwe that is providing free medical and dental care to the widows and orphans of Zim. In 2016, The Tabernacle launched yet another campus (The TAB Honduras) in the rural area of Honduras. There is now a beautiful, thriving Tabernacle community that meets there weekly and has a food/clothing program for the rural people of Honduras.
We are pressing forward – growing in faith and in community each and every day, continuing to pursue areas where we can serve our community and our world, and growing more and more in love with Jesus as we do it.
1. The scriptures are the word of God. (2 Timothy 3:16)
2. Jesus is the Son of God. (Matthew 3;16-17, Romans 1:3-4)
3. The only way to God is being made new through faith in Jesus Christ. (John 3:3, Romans 10:9-10)
4. Gods through His Holy Spirit will live within you and empower you to live the Christian life. (Acts 1:8)
These truths are the foundation of The TAB community. When practiced by faith they will lead each of us to change the world in which we live. All other truths both taught and expressed at The Tab are established through these four essential truths.
The Tabernacle Church is affiliated with The Assemblies of God.
Matt 28:19-20 – Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. 20 Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
