Filled – 10 Day Prayer & Fast

Day One: Recognition
Read Matthew 7:7-11, Acts 2:36-39

Summary:
Many people don’t see the significance or even the value of Holy Spirit for their lives. Some others have been taught that His work in the book of Acts and the Epistles has passed and is no longer needed, but we are NOT those people. Today, we recognize the need for the Holy Spirit in our lives. We must have Holy Spirit- it’s a non-negotiable… we’re getting FILLED.

Prayer of Agreement with God’s Word:
Father, you have promised to give me Holy Spirit. You have said that all I had to do was repent of my sins, believe in Christ and I could receive Holy Spirit. Today, I repent of all my sins. Forgive me. Today, I say with all my faith that I believe Jesus is the Christ, the very Son of God who died on a cross for my sins and rose from the dead for my life. Father, I recognize the need for Holy Spirit to live this life on purpose as a witness for Christ. FILL ME with Your Holy Spirit.

Day Two: Patience
Read Isaiah 40:29-31, Luke 24:46-49, Acts 16:6-10, Romans 8:25, James 1:2-4

Summary:
God’s work doesn’t happen the same way for everyone. The end product is the same, but the process is often different. One thing we must remind ourselves of often is “this is a lifetime journey.” You can’t put all of your expectations in a moment. Instead, they must be kept in your lifetime. Waiting can be the hardest part, but when you know you need something of value for your journey, you wait on it. Holy Spirit is paramount to our success – He’s worth waiting on. Get FILLED!

Prayer of Agreement with God’s Word:
Father, help me understand where I’m at on this journey. When things don’t go my way, help me not to take matters in my own hands. Help me wait on you Father. Open the doors for my life you choose and close the doors I have chosen without you. FILL ME with Your Holy Spirit and make me strong. I surrender my life to the leadership of Holy Spirit.

Day Three: Validation
Read Acts 19:1-7, Romans 5:1-6, Romans 8:14-17

Summary:
The identity crisis going on in the world today is epic. People are struggling to discover who they are and why they’re here. Meanwhile, the world is offering their definition and seeking to enforce a cultural acceptance that will never liberate the person’s soul to understand who they really are. They attempt to pacify them into complacency. Not only do we need our identity validated but our activity as well. We all need validation. Holy Spirit is the only one who can both speak to who we are and bring satisfying consequence to what we do. We MUST be FILLED.

Prayer of Agreement with God’s Word:
Father, show me who I am in you. Help me to not compare myself to others. Touch what I touch, bring to pass what I say that the world may know your real and that you are with me. FILL ME with Holy Spirit who makes me to know your love, which validates my life as He works through me.

Day Four: Revelation
Read John 16:12-15, I Corinthians 2:9-16

Summary:
Sometimes the Bible can be hard to understand. Even Jesus spoke in a lot of parables and stories that left the disciples in private discussions trying to figure it out. In truth, spiritual things can only be understood by spirit beings. God is a communicating Spirit and He sent His Spirit to communicate the hidden truths of His word and purpose. No one understands God more than Holy Spirit. If you want to know and understand God you must be FILLED with Holy Spirit.

Prayer of Agreement with God’s Word:
Father, today I ask you to take the blinders off my spiritual eyes. Open up your Word and all it’s mysteries that I may know You, Your ways and Your plans. Let my ears hear what the Spirit is saying. Remind me of things you’ve taught me before and guide me into future truths that I may live fruitful for You. Teach our TAB community the truth. Break down wrong doctrines we have learned and let us get it right. Father, FILL ME with Holy Spirit revelation.

Day Five: Witness
Read Acts 1:8, Acts 2:12-24, Acts 4:23-36, 2 Timothy 1:5-9

Summary:
Do you remember when you first got saved? Most of us had an unusual boldness. Maybe we were just so excited about what happened that we simply lost consciousness of what others may have thought about our zeal. Living for Christ; however, can have difficult moments that can silence our voices and cause us to shrink back. The early church felt and experienced the threat of being silenced. God wants to use your situation and make a message out of it. To be a witness is simply giving testimony to what you have seen and heard. The reason we witness to people about Jesus is to provoke them to accept Him as their Lord and Savior. Some people can be persuaded by a message, and others need a demonstration. Either way we need Holy Spirit to be witness to Christ. That’s why Christ said wait to be FILLED with the Holy Spirit.

Prayer of Agreement with God’s Word:
Father, I want to reflect You to the world around me. I pray You give me opportunity to both teach and model who You are to me and who You desire to be to others. I realize I cannot be an effective witness without Your Holy Spirit, so I ask you to FILL ME with Your Spirit.

Day Six: Gifts
Read Romans 12:3-8, I Cor 12, Ephesians 4:4-16

Summary:
God has called you with a unique assignment, but you need relationship with other people in order to fulfill it. Together, we all make what is called the “body of Christ.” This calling also comes with certain gifts that will be needed in order to accomplish the assignment. The Holy Spirit is the only one who offers these gifts. You will need to be FILLED with Holy Spirit in order to access your gift.

Prayer of Agreement with God’s Word:
Father, today I pray show me my ministry assignment. Give me faith and courage to step out. Align and connect me with people I am to both support and draw from. I pray for whatever gifts you have for me. I open my heart and receive Holy Spirit gift right now. I want Holy Spirit- Father FILL ME with Holy Spirit gifts.

Day Seven: Demonstration
Read Mark 16:15-20, Acts 5:12-15, Acts 19:11-12, Romans 15:18-19

Summary:
Persuaded, convinced, amazed and unbelievable are all words that describe our response to miracles or supernatural manifestations. For the early church these mind-blowing things convinced many that the message being preached was authentic. The same is true today. We need Holy Spirit working through our lives in demonstrative ways that cause people to be stopped in their tracks and surrender to the message of Christ. You are an Experience of God for someone- Be FILLED today!

Prayer of Agreement with God’s Word:
Father, today I pray for signs, wonders and miracles. Send an awakening of Spirit filled people throughout our community. Convince us of your reality and intention. We are willing to step out of the religious box and trust that you’re doing a new thing in our lives. Release grace on those who have never experienced you in this way- temper their hearts and spirits. Father, FILL US! Fill us to overflow.

Day Eight: Multiplication
Read Acts 2:40-47, Acts 4:1-4, Acts 8:1-25, Acts 9:31

Summary:
From the beginning of the book of Genesis throughout the New Testament there is a consistent command – “be fruitful and multiply” for the purpose of filling the whole world. We are called to go Make Disciples and Release Ministers. Through the power of Holy Spirit we create more believers in Christ. The world is dependent upon you and I being FILLED.

Prayer of Agreement with God’s Word:
Father, we pray against apathy, atrophy and barrenness. We declare we are fruitful in every good work. Let your Spirit rest on all our efforts. Empower the TAB to Make Disciples from those you save. Put people in our lives that we can influence and give us grace in their development. Make our connections strong with each other. Give us a discerning spirit to know how to lead and release. Father, we declare we are captains over thousands. Give us the lost – let us be soul winners until our last breath. FILL US with your Holy Spirit and multiply our community.

Day Nine: Release
Read Acts 6:1-7, Acts 13:1-5

Summary:
Discipleship is essential for the lifestyle and eternity of the individual believer in Christ. Releasing Ministers is essential to changing the world. The early church knew they could not do all the work alone. When the work demand increased, they prayed and Holy Spirit directed them to release others. As we grow and multiply, our disciples must turn into ministers. In order to not miss ‘who’ and ‘when’, we must be FILLED.

Prayer of Agreement with God’s Word:
Father, release my ministry. Give me stewardship in Your kingdom. Give The TAB community a heart to serve others by leading. Keep our leaders in character and integrity that reflects who You are.

Day Ten: Celebration
Read Acts 2:1-8, Acts 3:1-10, Acts 10:21-47

Summary:
People Matter. They matter to God and they matter to us as well. We all want to experience God, connect with people, discover our purpose and serve others as individuals. We want the Spirit of God to constantly stir our hearts toward other people and awaken a REVIVAL within us all. Revival is an awareness of God that drowns every other care in this world. It provokes a zeal that is unstoppable. It reaches the unreachable and it changes the unchangeable. When Spirit FILLED people move in unity- anything is possible.

Prayer of Agreement with God’s Word:
Father, send revival to The TAB community. Let there be a spirit of rejoicing as we all experience You, connect to the body of Christ, discover our purpose and serve others. Let it spill over into the streets of this region and transform lives around us. Awaken our community to Holy Spirit’s power and purpose- let us live FILLED!
