Because People Matter.

National Good Samaritan Day

At The Tabernacle Church in the month of February we have been speaking about “generosity” and how important it is to be a blessing to others. From that series we have been amazed of all the incredible stories we have heard from our church community. From people paying for other’s meals, Starbucks gift cards being post on Facebook timelines, to helping people out – we have been blown away and it hit our hearts. As a staff we asked ourselves, “What can we do to make a greater impact?” As we looked at the calendar we noticed that Tuesday, March 13th is National Good Samaritan Day. We knew this was our moment!

On Sunday, March 11th we passed out a few thousand cards that say, “You have been blessed!” and encouraged everyone on March 13th to do a random act of generosity and help us spread generosity and love throughout Montgomery and Stewart Counties. Now, as a church and staff we wanted to do something very specific, so we have organized through two local fast food establishments (one in Clarksville and one in Dover) to pay for everyone’s breakfast that comes through the stores. We are so stoked to spread generosity and to encourage everyone to pay it forward this National Good Samaritan Day!
